Iran, Qatar stress broadening of bilateral ties

Tehran, Karafarinane Eghtesad – Iran’s Energy Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Qatar Petroleum Saad Sherida al-Kaabi in a meeting in Doha, stressed the need for strengthening Tehran-Doha bilateral ties and joint cooperation.

Iran’s Energy Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian met CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Qatar Petroleum Saad Sherida al-Kaabi on Monday to discuss main issues of bilateral ties of Iran-Qatar.

In this meeting, Iran’s Energy Minister expressed Tehran's interest in further expanding of ties between the two countries in various fields, and termed  cooperation potentials of the two countries very appropriate and stressed removing of existing obstacles in expanding relations.

Referring to the excellent relations between the two countries in various fields, Mehrabian added that Raisi's government has emphasized ties development with the neighboring countries, and accordingly, these relations are improving.

The two sides stressed the importance of developing political and trade relations between the two countries.

Iran, Qatar stress broadening of bilateral ties

 Iran's Minister of Energy arrived in Doha last night to take part in the eighth Joint Commission of Economic Cooperation of the two countries. The 8th Iran-Qatar Economic Commission will be held on June 7.

During the event, the cooperation will be discussed in terms of some committees; namely, 'Economic, Trade, and Industrial Committee', 'Banking and Financial Committee', 'Transport and IT Committee', 'Scientific, Health, Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Committee, and 'Water and Energy Committee'.
