Supreme Leader wishes health for Japanese mother

Tehran, Karafarinane Eghtesad – Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has sent a message of health and prosperity to a Japanese mother hospitalized in the capital Tehran.

Saba Babaei, also called Koniko Yamamura by her Japanese name, is hospitalized at Khatam al-Anbya Hospital.

She is the mother of Mohammad Babaei who was martyred during the Iraqi imposed war in the 1980s.

Ayatollah Khamenei’s message was conveyed by Mohammad Mohammadian, Deputy Chairman at the Supreme Leader’s Office for Seminaries Affairs.

Mohammadian and a number of other officials at the Supreme Leader’s Office visited Saba Babaei on Wednesday.

He sent Ayatollah Khamenei’s greetings, telling Babaei that the Supreme Leader “prayed for you who have spent your life in the path of Islam and the revolution.”

He also gave Ayatollah Khamenei’s keffiyeh to the Japanese mother.

Yamamura chose the name of Saba after she converted to Islam following her marriage with an Iranian Muslim in Japan.

She later moved to Iran where her 19-year-old son Mohammad was martyred during the Iraqi imposed war.

Her memoirs have been complied in a book named “The Immigrant of the Land of Sun” written by Hamid Hesam and Massoud Amirkhani.
