Iran, Russia sign MoU to establish trade center

Tehran, Karafarinane Eghtesad – Iran and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to mutually establish trade center in Saint Petersburg and Tehran.

The MoU was singed by head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Alireza Peymanpak and Deputy Governor of Saint Petersburg Kirill Polyakov.

The centers will facilitate trade between Iran and Russia on oil and gas equipment, transportation engineering products, automaking, shipbuilding, electronics, energy facilities, agriculture, food industry, pharmaceuticals and construction.

Expanding economic and investment cooperation, helping Iranian and Russian entrepreneurs establish direct contact, facilitating financial transactions, accelerating north-south corridor project and holding exhibitions were mentioned among the goals of the MoU.
