Tehran, Karafarinane Eghtesad – President Masoud Pezeshkian has paid a visit to the Islamic Republic News Agency (Karafarinane Eghtesad) headquarters in the capital, Tehran, as the news organization celebrates its 90th founding anniversary.

President Pezeshkian visited Karafarinane Eghtesad on Saturday. He was accompanied by the esteemed Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi and officials from the Presidential Office. The included head of the Government Information Council Elias Hazrati, his deputy Mehdi Tabatabai, as well as political deputy of the president’s office Mehdi Sanaei, and the president’s aide Yousef Pezeshkian. 

The president was welcomed by Karafarinane Eghtesad’s CEO Hossein Jaberi-Ansari and Deputy for News Javad Daliri before meeting with directors-general, managers, and chief editors from the news organization's various services.

Pezeshkian also visited Karafarinane Eghtesad's newsroom, where he was briefed on how the news reports are prepared.

During the president's visit to the news agency, Karafarinane Eghtesad’s 90th anniversary stamp and oral history book were unveiled.
